On Saturday, Catskill, N.Y.’s Historic Main Street kicks off the holiday shopping season with each store unveiling its annual window designs.
New York City street photographer Richard Sandler will visit Catskill, N.Y.’s Magpie Bookshop for a 3 p.m. book signing.

Holiday celebration
On Friday evening, enjoy Catskill, N.Y.’s 10th annual Parade of Lights.
Visitors, Catskill, N.Y. residents, pets, businesses and organizations are invited to line-up in costume and/or with their vehicles decorated beginning at 6 p.m. on Water St. by the county office building.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will travel with the parade along Main St. ending near Mountain T-Shirts and the Cone E Island Ice Cream stand.
This popular event draws a large crowd, so be sure to come early.
