Catskill, N.Y. entrepreneur Natasha Witka pivotal to LUMBERYARD’s relocation

When LUMBERYARD began looking for property in the Hudson Valley area, Natasha Witka was recommended as a realtor and quickly got to know our team.

Natasha saw momentum building in the Valley’s economy beginning about three years ago.

She was inspired to from Manhattan back to Catskill, N.Y. where she had grown up.

LUMBERYARD began talking with Natasha about what type of property we needed, and she showed our team spaces we had researched and requested to see.

After meeting in person and talking more about LUMBERYARD’s programs and our space needs, she suggested taking a look at Catskill, N.Y.

“Once I understood what LUMBERYARD was gearing toward, the light bulbs were going off,” she says.

“Catskill, N.Y. has found its identity. It’s the perfect place for LUMBERYARD; we’re becoming a cultural epicenter, a hub in Hudson Valley for music, performing arts and theatre.”

In summer 2015, Natasha introduced us to the creekside property that will become LUMBERYARD.

She had admired it since purchasing a historic Main Street building earlier in 2015 where she has since opened New York Restaurant.

In November 2015, we celebrated at New York Restaurant after the Planning Board approved our construction plans.

Like many of the entrepreneurs we’ve met so far in Hudson Valley, Natasha is excited about the development taking place in Catskill, N.Y.

“Something kept pulling me back to my roots, I just needed to be here and wanted to contribute to the revitalization.”

We feel the same pull and are excited to welcome guests from near and far this Saturday at our Groundbreaking Celebration.

We hope you’ll join us.
