Crossroads Brewing Co. to top Groundbreaking Celebration menu

Crossroads Brewing Co.

The award winning entrepreneurs behind Crossroads Brewing Co. beer are rallying once again in support of their community, recently offering their popular beverages to the menu of our Groundbreaking Celebration.

On May 7, we come and enjoy a selection of Crossroads beverages — the same beers residents and visitors have enjoyed at Hudson Valley bars, restaurants and celebrations for years.

Crossroads is beginning to have more of a presence in Catskill, N.Y. after founders Janine Bennett and Ken Landin purchased a property near LUMBERYARD which they’re in midst of transforming into a brewery storefront set to open in summer 2017.

“We’ve enjoyed getting to know Janine and Ken — and often over a beer,” LUMBERYARD CEO Adrienne Willis says.

“We’re inspired by their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community.

“As each of our companies settle into Catskill, N.Y. we look forward to collaborating further.”

A passion for Hudson Valley inspired Janine and Ken to found Crossroads in 2008.

Supporting local businesses and events quickly became one of the most important and enjoyable aspects of their work, Janine recently told us.

“There’s something about growing up in the Valley, right by the river especially. You always have a sense of home.

“The river is grounding. It unites us. I think that’s part of why people stick together and support one another: we’re all in this together.”

Crossroads, recognized last weekend at the largest beer festival in the state as the best brewery in Hudson Valley, committed to opening their first storefront in Catskill, N.Y. following the recent influx of entrepreneurs and investment to the historic riverside town.

Equally, Janine says they were drawn to the character of the community.

“There’s huge excitement surrounding LUMBERYARD coming to the area. LUMBERYARD is going to bring a spotlight to Catskill and bring even more arts and culture.

“In Catskill, N.Y. the art isn’t just on the walls, it’s in the shops, it’s in the people,” Janine says.

“Everyone is from different places, but everyone gets along. Most people say hello and if they don’t know you, they probably will by the end of the day.

“Catskill, N.Y. is friendly and welcoming. It’s growing by leaps and bounds. It’s definitely a place that will keep going.”

We agree. Cheers to Catskill, N.Y. and the future we’re building together!
